Disappointing – potential safety issue with the handles
I really wanted to like the Eggr. The concept is great and initially I was very impressed with how well it worked. Unfortunately, after only a couple of uses, I’ve lost confidence in the product.
On my first use, the removable rubber grips/pads came off. I contacted Eggr to flag this as product feedback because I was concerned about how easily they detached. Eggr explained that the grips need to be removable for hygiene reasons and acknowledged that mass-production tolerances can mean not every unit is perfect. I put them back on and continued using it.
Unfortunately, the next time I used the Eggr, the issue became much more serious. While opening the clasp after cooking, the handle/grip came apart and the metal component dropped out. This caused the hot egg and contents to fall onto my kitchen floor.
For a product designed to handle very hot food, I don’t think a component that the user relies on to safely hold and open the product should be able to detach this easily.
I appreciate that manufacturing tolerances exist, but in my view the handle/grip design needs reconsidering so that the removable parts are positively retained during normal use while still being removable for cleaning.
It’s a shame because I genuinely liked the idea and the Eggr worked well otherwise, but after this experience I don’t feel comfortable continuing to use it and have requested a full refund.

From what you've described, it sounds like your particular egg cooker hasn't performed as it should. We've offered a replacement and, as requested, we're arranging a full refund. Been using this for the last week and it has definitely helped me in my busy morning routines
Well I must say I’m impressed - I’m still working on my timings for the perfect set white and runny yolk but the Eggr itself feels well made and it completely non-stick. So far all I’ve needed to do to clean it is wipe it with a piece of kitchen roll.

This has been the answer to my breakfast issues. I like an egg on my bagel, but often just don't have the time for the prep and cleanup. This gizmo gives me perfectly shaped, perfectly cooked eggs, with minimal cleanup and because it uses less oil than i put in a pan, no doubt its better for me too.

The Eggr is a great little device, perfect eggs just the way you like them.
Simple to use and the flip down base makes decanting your cooked egg so, so easy!
